So, I’m no
fashion expert and don’t even claim to know anything about fashion but I
thought I would give you my 2 cents worth anyway ….
Lady Gaga –
I thought she looked quite incredible.
Rita Ora
- Even though I would never wear this
dress I liked it
Gwen
Stefani – I love her style!
Miley Cyrus
- Miley showed lots of skin while still
covering up a lot, I liked this dress on her
Meghan
Trainor & Jessie J both did the lace
over dresses and I thought they both looked lovely
Anna
Kendrick – looked hot!
Taylor
Swift - Love the colour of this dress!
Katharine
Mcphee – I’m not crazy about the colour, but I love the dress
Bonie McKee
– yes! Especially the colour!
There were
quite a few looks that I didn't love but these 3 (Madonna / Joy Villa / Carli XCX) just made me go WTF?
I like that
fact that Helen Lasichanh doesn’t ever wear what is expected of her but this is
not a great look
Zendaya –
the back of this dress just ruins the whole look
Rihanna - I think that Rihanna looks at lot better when
she shows off her amazing body, this dress reminds of those toilet paper dolls
that you used to get on top of your grandmothers toilet in the eighties
Sia – it’s
just the wig, the outfit isn’t bad but that wig, yeah I’m don’t know about that
I've been pretty busy lately, then again, I guess all of you are to. A new year means new TV series, and that always makes me happy! Here are some of the new series starting this month:
Marvel's Agent Carter We have been watching all the other Marvel shows (movies and tv series) so we will for sure watch this Empire I saw the first episode of this series and Loved it! This should be really good. Togetherness I love Amanda Peet Man Seeking Woman I think Jay Baruchel is really funny so I hope this show does not disappoint Fortitude I'm going to watch the first episode of this and see what I think, I mean it has Stanley Tucci in it, but still, not 100% confident that I'm going to like it Galavant - you can read my post about it here Donnie Loves Jenny I'm quite a big fan of all things Wahlberg so I'm happy to watch these two. Plus I think they make a totally cute couple Hindsight I watched the first episode of this and it really is quite an interesting question. I mean, what would I change if I could go back and change one single thing? Babylon This English series is directed by Danny Boyle who is quite a controversial comedian and looks like it could be fast paced. I'm also a fan of James Nesbit Eye Candy I must admit that I was rather surprised that this was a MTV production cause it looks really good. Backstrom
I know I'm going to enjoy this one! What new shows will you be watching this January?
Okay, I
just had to watch the first two episodes of this new abc series cause it is just too
strange not to.
I mean,
Vinnie Jones in a medieval musical????
What is it
all about? A hero who has lost his spark in life after losing the love of his
life to the evil King Richard. But is King Richard really evil? Or is the love
of his life actually a bitch? Oh and did I mention that is a musical.
This new
series is the brain child of Dan Fogelman (Crazy Stupid Love, Tangled, Last
Vegas …) composer Alan Menken (A Whole new world, Aladdin, Kiss the girl, the
Little Mermaid) and lyricist Glen Slater.
It stares
Timothy Omudson as King Richard, Vinnie Jones as Gareth the kings right hand
man, Mallory Jansen as Madalena the love quest and Joshua Sasse as Galavant.
I can’t
tell you if it is going to be good, bad, or terrible yet. Regardless I'll probably end up watching the whole series just cause, well it is a medieval musical
starring Vinnie Jones. Oh and John Stamos was in the second episode.
The kids and I are planning on watching tons of Christmas movies next week when we are on vacation.
So, seeing as we are coming up with our list of must see Christmas movies I was wondering if you knew the answer to these questions:
Do you know
which actor appeared in both ‘A Christmas Story’ and ‘Elf’?
Peter
Billingsley
Despite now
directing and producing movies more than act in them Peter Billingsley likes to
go back and take on small acting roles from time to time.
In ‘Elf’ he
was one of the elves in Santa’s shop.
Did you
what color the original Grinch was?
Black and
white, with shades of red, which is how Dr. Seuss created him.
But, according to legend, Chuck Jones who
directed the Grinch movie wanted him to be green just like all the ugly rental
cars driving around in the Washington-Baltimore area.
Did you
know that Jack Skellington makes a ‘hidden’ appearance in at least 4 other
movies?
- - Beetlejuice
(on the top of the carnival hat that Beetlejuice wears)
- - The
Princess and the Frog (as one of the Shadow Demons summoned by Dr. Facilier)
- - Alice
in Wonderland (as the design in the Mad Hatters Bow and Tie)
- - Coraline
(his head appears in the egg yolk)
Did you
know that Hugh Grant really did not want to do ‘that dance scene’ in Love
Actually?
According
to the director Richard Curtis he was really grumpy about doing it, saying that
it wasn’t very ministerial. They only shot that scene on the final day.
I know, I
know, who on earth can remember when last I actually blogged. Never mind that!
It is December 2, which means that Christmas is only 23 days away … because I
start celebrating Christmas on the 24th .
Christmas eve, duh!
I haven’t
put up our decorations yet, Sinterklaas must first stop by house (the night of
the 5th of December), then we can put up the Christmas decorations.
But all of
this doesn’t mean that I’m not in the Christmas mood yet. I’ve already started
asking the kids what it is that they would like this year.
Cat would
like a MacBook Air or an Ipod 5 (yeah I know, cheap requests) and Tiger has
asked for a tv or a hanging chair from Ikea with a couple of PS3 games. Sadly
for them I had to tell them that Santa is not quite rich enough for their
tastes this year.
Why is it
that some people as so hard to buy for? I have a two friends who are really
hard to shop for. The one even more so than the other. And to top it, she also
has her birthday in December! She is also a good gift giver or maybe I’m just
good at leaving hints.
Do you find
it easy to buy gifts for your friends? Do they or you leave hints around?
