Also, I've been crazy busy but with nothing remotely interesting, meaning there's been nothing to blog about.
But not to worry. Today is Wednesday which means it's time for Mamarazzi & Crazymama's WWTK - Yay!
As you no doubt you know that Mamarazzi is still very busy with her show so this week Crazymama is doing the asking.
And she wants to know:
{1} What is your favorite easter tradition?
We started a 'new' easter tradition when we moved into our house four years ago. We have a little 'forest' behind our house and so on easter Sunday we invite our friends and have an easter egg hunt for the kids.
We have a very generous bunny called Fred who leaves hundreds of eggs for the kids to find in between the trees and wild flowers.
This picture was taken the first year we did it. |
After the hunt we all follow the smell of the bbq back to our house. Often it is the first bbq of the spring/summer.
We have all the usual trimmings since everyone will bring something. Salads, fresh baguettes, cold cuts, meat, meat and more meat. And for dessert there usually is also a selection to choose from, tiramisu, cake, cheese cake.
{3} Do you decorate for easter?
I add to my easter decorations every year ... it's not over the top like at christmas but I have a couple of things up in and outside the house.
{4} Your easter basket is not complete without ....
Lindt ....
I can't tell you how much I love these! |
{5} Are you getting an easter dress?
I remember that I used to get a new dress for church each year. Now, depending on the weather I wear an old pair of jeans and gumboots or a pair of shorts ... can't go hunting in a new dress now can I.
That picture of the egg hunt in amongst the trees & wildflowers looks like a LOT of fun!!
ReplyDeleteMmmm...Lindt...I definitely should have picked up a Lindt bunny when I was at the store the other day, what was I thinking?? ;)
Happy Easter!
Chocolate makes any basket worth it.
ReplyDeleteA bit jealous of your goods Easter weather. It's never warm enough to hunt eggs outside here.
I want to come to your bbq, it sounds sooooooo good. That is a great pic of the hunt, bet everyone has a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteLOL - 'Can't go hunting in a new dress, can I?' ;o) You crack me up!!
ReplyDeleteBBQ on Easter Sunday sounds delicious! We've never done anything like that and typically stick to the regular ham or roast that my grandma makes.
As far as candy, all of these holidays completely enable my unhealthy addiction to anything chocolate, caramel, and marshmallow. It's ridiculous how many of my daily calories come from candy this time of year.
mmm lindt! yummy.
ReplyDeletelove the forest behind your house!
thanks for linking up!!
That sounds like a fun Easter - what an adorable little forest and I also adore Lindt!!!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of your forest for egg hunts... so much cooler than the backyard!
ReplyDeleteamazing forest and egg hunt.
ReplyDeletehave a fabulous easter! thanks for linking up!
What a great Easter tradition! That is so nice that you set something up for the whole neighborhood. Your Easter meal sounds really delicious, I never thought to have a BBQ. I love the last bit about wearing a dress :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of an Easter bar-b-q. :D Great answers!
