Weekend round-up

Yes, yes I get that it is Tuesday already but I'm running a bit behind so you'll just have to put up with it.

Here it is:

A visit from the stork

Our dog, Lulu had four puppies on Thursday evening. Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly two of the puppies died over the course of the weekend. They were both really tiny and suffering from seizures. I tried to keep them going by feeding them from a bottle but in the end they were just too weak to survive. The remaining two on the other hand seem to be thriving.

Lulu, Rori & Zulu

Also, on Thursday evening I left my glasses on the kitchen table. When I picked them up on Friday morning they were broken. Straight down the middle.

I think there must be little gremlins living in my house cause no one has any idea of how that happened. I still have not replaced them, luckily I'm not totally blind without them but the longer I'm without them the more I'm noticing my need for them.

I've also changed my hair. It's been annoying me quite a bit lately and Himself was not loving the colour.

Some people (like the kids) might think this was a bit drastic but I like it.

Needless to say I am the worlds most un-photogenic person. Himself & I even got into an argument last night on account of it. He cannot believe that I take such bad photo's. After about 25 takes he got so annoyed with me he gave up leaving me to try and do it myself. This was the best out of about 100.

  1. I'm so sad you lost 2 puppies, even if it was expected. :o( I hope the others do just fine! Poor LuLu is looking awful tired in that picture though...

My husband gets aggravated at me when I ask him to take pictures of me, too. I am obsessive about checking and critiquing each one. Getting a single perfect photo can take hours. :o) He pretty much runs from the room at warp speed when he sees me coming with the camera, so now Lexie is the unfortunate one who gets stuck taking pictures of her momma. ;o)

Your hair looks great though! I love how dark the color is. I tried three different times to color mine dark last year, but it just won't stick. Guess I'll just be a mousy brunette forever.

    1. Hey SK! Thanks for the hair compliment! This was the first time that the black stuck ... guess there really is something about having it done rather than doing it yourself.

PS. Try going a couple of shades lighter, who knows it might just work.

O and yes it looks as if the two remaning puppies are going to live :) but I'm sure that this will be her last litter.

  2. Congrats on the puppies! They are georgous :)
Your hair looks great too, you are one of the few people I've ever met that can wear their hair in so many different styles and still look great!
Was sitting thinking when last I actually physically saw you and I imagine about 2006? Maybe even longer...

    1. Hey Adelle,
Thanks for the comment so nice to hear from someone I know!
Yes it's been ages since we last saw each other, can't believe how time flies.
Do you have a blog? I'd love to read it!

    2. No blog, no time at the moment!! Have been thinking about it though. Thought I'd better leave a comment, just so that you know I'm here and I enjoy reading all about your life so far away. I had a good giggle about your glasses - things in my house also seem to break or disappear without anyone having a clue what happened. That's kids for you!
Tell hubby I say hi (don't know if he'd remember me) and keep well.
