I see gold, I see Silver … or not WWTK # 65

It’s Wednesday and usually this means that I’m taking part in Crazymama and Mamarazzi’s WWTK.

However since the questions are all about the Olympics, and why would they not be, I can’t really take part.

See, I have seen about 3 minutes of the Olympics in total.
And it’s not because I hate sports or the Olympics it’s just that I have been too busy to watch.

That said I can answer question nr. 2 Which country are you rooting for?

I am very happy every time I read in the paper or see on the news that either South Africa or Belgium has won a medal.

Our swimming sensations Cameron van der Burgh who won the gold medal for the 100 m breaststroke

Chad le Clos who managed to beat none other than American Olympic legend Michael Phelps in the 200-metre butterfly swimming event in an amazing 1min 52.96sec

And even the Belgian team has managed to pick up a medal. Well done to Charline Van Snick who won the bronze medal in the women’s 48kg Judo.

But I’m sure you all can answer all the questions so pick up the cute button and get answering.

Crazymama is asking the questions this week!!

And like I said it's all about the olympics in London! let's talk about it.

(1) What was your favorite part of the Opening Ceremonies?
(2) Which country are you rooting for? ( I realize we aren't all Americans)
(3) Which is your favorite event to watch and why?
(4) Have you found a new sport that is surprisingly delightful?
(5) Have you always been a fan of the Olympics? what is your earliest  Olympic Memory?

  1. Ok I will admit I haven't watched one second of the olympics!!! I seem to be in the minority here though.

  2. That was a really awesome win for South Africa in swimming!!

  3. I had a student from South Africa last semester and I was really interested in learning about his childhood experience there. I totally thought of him as the South African swimmer won. :)

  4. I have to admit every time I hear south Africa or Belgium I think of you. Awesome wins.

This is the first time in years I've watched it at all. Thanks for linking up!

  5. If the USA can't take the medal I always like seeing the unexpected country win--they are always so thrilled to win.

  6. glad to know I'm not the only one that haven't seen the Olympic

  7. I've watched about the same amount of Olympics this year, haha. I haven't been home very much to watch them and I don't think they are showing my favorite sport: dressage, yet.

  8. I love watching the swimmers, no matter where they're from! They're just pretty to look at!

  9. You've watched more of the Olympics than I have. It's so sad too b/c I used to LOVE watching them... I guess now I'm just too busy. booo being a grownup :)

  10. I love watching any sport that isn't the norm, like that crazy kayaking, rowing, water polo. It's all a lot of fun!

  11. i was super stoked for Cameron, you could just see "wow, that was worth all the hard work" coming through his smile!!

thanks for linking up, i appreciate that you still did a WWTK cool!

  12. I haven't been watching during the day but every evening I end up staying up too late to watch just one more thing.

  13. I've been enjoying watching The Olympics. :)

  14. my kids are glued to the TV..they love everything about the Olymopics...i cannot believe some of the sports they are is fun!
    happy weekend!!

  15. I have been watching and admit I do think of you when I see South African and Belgian athletes :)
