Would you rather ....

Wow what a week this has been! Can hardly believe it is Thursday.

Mmmh it's been so long since I've taken part in a WWTK and on top of that I'm doing it on a Thursday .... sorry bout that.
I've just been super busy. I know, I know, we all are and it's not much of an excuse.....

Well either you can accept it and move on or sod off ... please don't sod off

Okay so if you want to take part check out Scriptor and Kenzi and answer the questions.

Incognitus Scriptor

Answer these as best you can; feel free to explain why
1.)    Would you rather… go out to eat or make a nice meal at home?
2.)    Would you rather… drive or fly?
3.)    Would you rather… go to a sporting event or watch it on TV?
4.)    Would you rather… read a book or watch TV?
5.)    Would you rather… go to bed early or sleep in late?

Lets see...

Question 1: Would you rather… go out to eat or make a nice meal at home?

Without a doubt go out to eat! No clean up, no trying to find something that everyone would like. Did I mention no clean up?

Question 2: Would you rather… drive or fly?

Now this is a tough one to answer. I love road trips and both our kids are great travellers so even 12 hour plus trips are no hassle. Plus Himself and I always seem to connect really well when we are in the car. There a no other distractions so we can really chat.  But flying would mean a big trip somewhere new and exciting or maybe back to South Africa (for a vacation) so in all honesty, both.

Question 3: Would you rather… go to a sporting event or watch it on TV?

Go to a sporting event. There is just a whole different feel to it. You are surrounded by other fans, you sing and cheer. I love it. (I'm talking about watching rugby) Things like golf or tennis .... well if you tied me to a chair I would watch it on TV.

Question 4:  Would you rather… read a book or watch TV?

I've been known to do both at the same time. You know if you are soft of watching tv but it's not something that you need to see every frame of. I love doing both so really it depends on my mood or how good a book I'm reading.

Question 5:  Would you rather… go to bed early or sleep in late?

If I don't HAVE to get up early the next morning it would be to sleep in. I'm a bit of a night owl .... so I tend to stay up later at night anyway. Plus the kids are now at an age where they are happy to have a lie in in the mornings so on weekends when when we have no-where to be they might get up at around 10.

On a more personal note ..... Kim took Cat to the hospital on Tuesday. Yeah, how great a friend is she not to give up her day off to take my kid to hospital.

So anyway, they took more x-rays and said that it is not her liggaments after all, but a hairline fracture. So the cast is back on, or I should rather say, they put a new cast on her leg. Wednesday next week I have to take her back and they'll do another evaluation to see if the cast can come off or if it should go on for the full 6 weeks.

O and spring is finally in the air here. So happy about it.

  1. eating out and going to sporting events are so much better than staying at home. i'm not a road trip fan though!

  2. totally agree with the no clean up and eating out.

for me- i'd rather watch the sports on TV because you can see things up close!! but i do understand the certain feel of a good ball game or what not.

i recently road tripped (7 hrs) to canada and i can gladly say id much rather choose flying to my destinations!

  3. sorry to hear Cat is still down and out, but at least you have more answers!

I'm with you on your driving vs. flying logic and I'd totally rather go out to eat ANYTIME!!

  4. I forgot about the cleanup involved in making dinner, duh.. ha ha! I wish I could make an awesome home cooked meal and not have a mess to clean up :D I usually read while the TV is on, ha ha!
Sorry to hear about Cat's leg! Ouch :(

  5. Going out to eat always wins in my book too. No muss, no fuss. My husband would always rather eat home since he's a cheap ass. I thought I was the only one who read and watched TV at the same time.

  6. Poor Cat! Hope she's feeling better soon!

I often watch tv and read at the same time, too.... I'm not really watching, but I like to have the sound on!

  7. i would definitely rather read a book any time at all i'm such a book worm

  8. eating out is fun..but I like cooking and then someone else has to clean up!!!
and give me a book any day!!
    happy weekend!

  9. Oh, dear....was it her growth plate? Poor baby. You have a fantastic friend!

I've been know to watch TV and read at the same time, too!

  10. Poor Cat! I hope she heals soon. :o(

I love the 'would you rather' game. Me and Cory play it all the time and try to come up with two really horrible options just to force the other one to have to choose something disgusting no matter what. We are idiots, I know. :o)

  11. I am such a night owl!! It is so wrong but I get my best work done in the wee hours of the morning. AND all you have to do is say the word trip and I'm daydreaming about Eurpoe again. Thanks alot ")

  12. Poor cat! I've never had a cast, but I can't imagine they are fun at all! I love your answers. I agree with them all. I love road trips too and feel like I connect with Jacob on them. But flying is more exciting! I love sporting events too. I hardly ever watch them on TV. Except for the Olympics, then I'm glued.

  13. Love these! We agree on a lot.

Happy to see your blog again! Hoping to get back in the routine soon.

  16. Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads
up. The text in your article seem to be running off
the screen in Internet explorer. I'm not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I'd post to let you know.

The style and design look great though! Hope you get the problem
    solved soon. Thanks

  17. First off I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question in which I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I have had a tough time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there. I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints? Many thanks!
